Cycling as a sport may seem monotonous, but it is really a test of endurance, willpower and determination of an individual. Although it may not seem as exciting as the other team or individual sports, they tend to leave some lasting impressions. I refer to the UCI Road World Championships Tour de France. The most popular cycle events in the world, also considered the toughest and most challenging endurance test. Like any sport The Tour had its heroes and witnessed some miracles, but none bigger and more important in its history of 150 years of the last decade that belonged Lance Armstrong.

The story is truly remarkable, and for me it was the early version of the Lance Armstrong Tour de France. Cyclist Lance Armstrong was a class had won world titles in a row Tour DuPont in 1996 (release of the career of professional cycling circuit in the U.S.) and was on a high that had won several stages of the Tour de France. Then he left the Tour and was a disappointment in the Olympics. That same year, was diagnosed with stage three testicular cancer and had little chance of survival. His career and his life was nearly over. For those who think they have problems, cancer is not easy to treat.

Was -treated and tried his best to survive. In 1997 began the "Livestrong" foundation for cancer research in partnership Nike (recognized by yellow bands) and after almost a year of treatment he survived cancer. His will to live was too strong, to resign as easily. He cycling in 1998 and began training, to the amazement of doctors. Then came the era of the Tour De Lance (her nickname), won his first Tour 1999, this led to a series of seven consecutive titles from 1999 to 2005.

Lance Armstrong a true hero and champion to all those who gave in a There are currently a success story of determination, courage, commitment and the will to live. Lance Armstrong went through difficult times not only sport, but life too. Champions can make it happen and Lance made the world go by. "Never give up" is summarized in the story of Lance Armstrong.
