This year's ATP season draws to a close, only two tournaments left, the BNP Paribas Masters in France and the Tennis Masters Cup in China. Players have about a month after a rest and concentrate, at the beginning of next season that begins in January 2009 5, with the first three tournaments in Qatar, India and Australia.

There are several modifications planned for the new season, for example, the calendar will be restructured, the prize will be partially lifted and some of the court surfaces will be changed. In total there are 63 tournaments announced for next season, taking place in the five major continents, where about 31 countries, will serve as hosts.

One of the most important reforms in the timing of the ATP season is going up the change of name category of the tournament. The Masters Series will now be called "Masters 1000" and the eleven tournaments on the International Series Gold are now called "500". The numbers indicate the points by winning players will receive one of the tournaments in this series. So if a player wins at the Masters, will receive 1000 points and win a tournament in the former Gold Series will receive 500 points. For all other ATP tournaments players are assigned 250 points.

The tournament in Johannesburg South Africa which was part of the calendar of ATP from 1976-1995, as an outdoor tournament on a hard court back in the 2009 season. Moreover, the Austrian tournament Kitzbühel, not be part of more ATP calendar. The first tournament of the year in Australia relocates to Brisbane and Adelaide ATP final of the eight best players at the end year will move from Shanghai to London. The German fans will not have to cope with the losses, the five tournaments in Hamburg, Stuttgart, Halle, Munich and Düsseldorf remain on the calendar. In the U.S. and France, fans can enjoy more tournaments than before.

Another change was made to the court surfaces, the play on the carpets will be completely removed from the agenda to make the games in general, slower and thus more interesting. "I want to play on surfaces that were made seven or eight years ago. In the carpets at the time, the games lasted about an hour, "said tournament director in Vienna, Peter Feigl, in an interview. And so the indoor tournaments in Europe last, now be transferred to the hard court.

The reform was announced as early as 2007 by admin of the ATP, Etienne de Villiers. The players however, does not seem very happy with this decision. Two years ago there were about 60 players, including Switzerland's Roger Spanish Federer and Rafael Nadal, who collected the signatures and sent a protest letter to the ATP. De Villiers' contract expires on 31 December this year and announced that he no extension. Does your decision have anything to do with the accumulation of criticism?

It is possible that after all that the next conference ATP will be different and perhaps announcing the renewal, even all the way back … we'll see.

Well, Lance is back again.

Lance who? Of course, none other than Lance Armstrong venrable, which is the equivalent of the Worlds' by cycling Michael Jordan. Lance is for bikes what is Dale Ernhardt race cars.

Why the resurgence? According to Armstrong in 36 years OLE formal decision based his statement Armstrong return to competition target = "_blank"> bike in an effort to revitalize global awareness to fight cancer. But surely it is not just of making people aware of cancer, which for the money and put yourself back into the international limelight, they enjoyed for so long.

After winning seven races in the Tour de France that, in all actuality, he earned his eighth really accomplish? Complacency? Wheting competitive appetite? Rumor around cycling circles that Lance is going to receive a nice chunk of change bikes for biking wither designed by them or any other sponsorship / Agreement approval.

There are also voices that return of Lance attribute as a way to "silence" critics of his supposed improvement Performance of substance use. Of course, Lance and his supporters have vehemently denied that Lance has ever used these substances, but apparently not important test that was never allowed to come to life he dd. in fact, involved in any prohibited substance. Lance has also hired the crew allegedly vidoe aa to chronicle his training for 2009 in each step of the way while riding his return. This video chronicalization are also supposed to make his Test record drugs, which some say may actually contribute to their guilt. Fair or not, it will be interesting to see how far we can take this and Lance for any reason it is doing, more power to him.

Another point to consider is What about Lance competitive return. It is true that the sport has been very poor, without their participation and out of the French and enthusiasts real target = "_blank"> cycling you really think about the cycle of competition? If I were one of the riders on horseback against Lance would have reason to fear the light of Lance's fierce competitive spirit, however, there is no way it would allow very soon will be 37 years to beat me when I'm at the peak of my performance.

For the same reason it is not there another way that Lance can make people more aware cancer? Although Lance is to cycling what Jordan is basketball, I would hate to see go out like Jordan Lance: falling off your bike and rear racing as Jordan was immersed in and submitted to the ankles, breaking cross overs. Please Lance, take a page from John Elways —
