New Doping Scandal Hits Tour de France

The credibility of the most important cycling event in the world has once again been hit by a scandal doping. This time the Astana rider Vinokourov started the Tour in 2007 as one of the favorites to retain the yellow jersey failed a dope test for transfusion prohibited blood caused his team wishes to withdraw from the competition.

The Grand Boucle unfortunately does not end with the withdrawal of the Astana team, just one day after of "Vino" positive revelation; Cofidis rider Christian Moreni was also suspended for failing a doping test for testosterone at this time. The pilot 34-year-old admitted his guilt and asked for a B-sample.

Paris is just around the corner and the show has to keep going. The leader does not claim victory yet, but already confirmed its potential to do so, winning the last stage of the Pyrenees and increase his lead to over three minutes. Unfortunately, Rasmussen is also the eye of the controversy after being discharged from the National Danish team for missing three drugs tests in a period of 18 months mobile. Moreover, the Danish not be able to compete in the 2008 Cycling World Championships or Olympic Games.

After a year of controversy with Landis as protagonist, the organizers of this year were clear about the "zero tolerance" policy. They declared war on the cheats are excluded from the bike more rider Tour 2007 which may be related with the controversial "Operation Puerto", but nothing seems to work in this battle against doping.
